Bought a 2002 F25 pull start tiller and was told it had carb issues. cleaned and fixed plunger problem in carb only to find that it has no spark.
I'm in the process of trying to diagnose the problem in the ignition system. I got a reading of 35VAC going into the ignition coil but nothing coming out at the spark plug lead. I would think this would mean a busted coil, but I saw somewhere online to test the coil by putting the meter on ohms and putting one lead on each spark plug wire, which I did and it seemed to pass that test. I'm not sure where to go from here.
I tested the kill switch and it seems to be working properly, but I still get the same readings on the mulitmeter whether it is engaged or not. This makes the issue even more confusing.
