I have a 2008 yamaha F150 4 stroke that has a tick at cold idle. As it heats up it gets quieter but is still there. It seems to be on the right rear of the motor. The motor seems to run great just makes this noise noticeable when the cowling is off. Any suggestions would be appreciated...

Have the valve adjustments been checked, not sure but could be a sound like lifter in auto motor
I really do not know much about the 4 strokes, so take that into consideration

Yamaha has a major problem with the balancers in the F150. The bearing fails on it and sends pieces of plastic gears thur out the power head causing major damage. Listen for a whistle/ winding sound when the cowling is off
