Yamaha 130 hp Water Pump Impeller Replacement Question 1988 two stroke

When I pulled the housing from my water pump to replace the impeller I had to remove this stainless ring with a plastic insert before I could remove the impeller off the drive shaft. I mangled the stainless/plastic piece as it would not come off easy. There also where some shims under the stainless/plastic ring and do not see any of these items listed in the water pump or lower unit break down of parts. Where do these parts show in the break down or are they suppose to be part of the plastic housing?

i just got done a pair of 225's , it is listed as a shim i think, on my motors i messed up the plastic ring, it was cheap to replace

I know its probably cheap but I can't find the part numbers or a picture of these items in the parts break down.

Is that lower unit the original on the motor?

Maybe it is from a different year

Model number is 130ETXG 1988 I looked at several other years and I do not see this part listed either

look at a 1993 to see if that looks like what you are talking about

I think someone hit the nail on the head - it is a newer lower unit and the older did not have these parts - thanks
