1986 90hp yamaha battery starter / tilt- trim connection

Hi
I think im loosing my mind. I can not find where the pos battery cable goes on the motor. All of the areas it should go does not seam to have enough threads to add the pos terminal end. I have the manual on cd but the pics suck. To operate the power tilt and trim from the control box do you have to add extra cables from the control box other than the main engine connection cable. The tilt trim cables are not pluged into anything. they just come out under the powerhead. EDIT .I suck at wiring.

pos battery cable should land on the start relay.
The trim motor wires terminate on the trim relay

The thick cable of wires that comes from the tilt-trim does go to the relays but the other cable with small wires goes under the block and then is just layinf there. Im guessing itconnects to another wire and connects to a tilt-trim guage maby.
