2005 4 Stroke Yamaha 60 HP has loose washer, how to get to it? Diagram included

Hello,

I have found that part number 9 in the following diagram is loose and making a pinging noise when I run the motor. I am not sure if the nut holding it down is loose or missing, because it is covered by the stator and a bracket. I would think I need to remove the stator and rotor assembly to get to this. Does anyone have recommendations on how to do this? Anyone have torque specs? The model of the engine is the F60TLRD. Thanks

Gonna have to pull the flywheel. Best start by getting the Yamaha manual.
