Unknown year Suzuki DT50 with no spark.

Recently my brother in law gave me his old boat after being stranded out on the lake. I am a completely new to outboard motors but this is a good place to start hopefully I can get a ride on the lake this season

I know 2 things:
- the model number is DT50 and the serial number 5001-205157
- it has no spark

Please help me figure out a year for this motor. Any guidance on what and how to check for spark issues would also be appreciated

Are you sure about the numbers?

Yes I am sure about the numbers. I only asked because they didnt match up on brownspoint.
I dot have the extra funds to buy a manual right now. I was hoping I could get it figured out without buying a book
