Does anyone know when yamaha started putting electronic ignitions on their 90 hp precision blends?

My 1999 90HP Yamaha has an electronic ignition, if you're referring to the motor having mechanical ignition points, which went out back with the dinosaurs?

maybe electronic ignition advance? MY 70 etld 1990 advances via a roller cam and linkage controlled with the throttle cable. My unknow powerhead (75-90 hp) precision blend, is advanced electronically from a linkage arm coming out of a black box. was wondering if anyone knew when they made that switch? Trying to find the right doner motor to get this powerhead onto. Thanks!
