2005 yamaha v-max 0x66 3.1litre
Runs stronger than ever until maxed out, drops RPMs from about 5600 to about 4000. Also, you can watch the speedo drop from 68 down to aroud 50, you can hear the motor dropping RPMs, its not choking or missing out, just drops rpms, this is the fuel injected motor not carbs. Also, my trim went out, i believe that is the trim motor. trim motor was working, trim gauge stayed in the same spot when the RPMs start dropping, so I dont believe that has nothing to do with my loss of power because i was having this problem a few days before the trim motor went out.
Would it be possible that I have a bad fuel pump, the motor never dies, it just loses power at high RPMs. If it was a fuel pump problem, the motor would just die instead of losing power or is that not true.
