my 70 is not trimming up properly. Last month when I changed the the lower unit oil and greesed the prop shaft the motor was trimming up and down as usual. Now I cannot tilt the motor to the highest position. Any thoughts? I would like to add fluid to see if that is the issue as the motor will bounce downward when trimming the motor down making me believe the fluid is low.

do I just add the fluid by removing the little red screw cap? And, what type of fluid do I add? Convential brake fluid? I lost my owners manual and have not been able to find a fluid type on line.

Any help or suggestions would be apprecitate.

Re: Suzuki DF70 tilt trim issue

They sell power trim and tilt fluid at walmart. It is basically the same thing as ATF. usually a SAE 20W or 30W. Check your manual about where to fill it. on my Suzuki it is on the side of the PTT motor.
