Hi there,
my 1998 Yamaha 25hp loses power and dies to an idle after giving full throttle for about 10 seconds. I have to cruise at partial power for now. I have cleaned the carb thoroughly and used a rebuild kit. I also replaced the fuel pump? on the side of the dual carb.
I got a new gas tank and hose, replaced the oil in the reservoir and still no luck.
After losing power, there is a good amount of smoke and after idling for 10-20 seconds i can resume.
One of the spark plugs had a little oil in the base when i checked them.
It seems like there is to much oil in the system but I cant figure out how to adjust the fuel injection.
Anyone have some advice for me? thanks.
