Hi all

As stated in the topic, where do i start troubleshooting?
The remote tank keeps overfilling the engine tank, no signs of stopping until i pull out harness on remote tank.
Can the oil module be bad or do i have a short somewhere?
The emergency oil fill switch does not work either..
Is there a simple test for troubleshooting?
I have tried tapping the level sensor on engine tank to no avail.

This oil tank is new to me, my motor didnt come with one so i bought a used one.

I just had the same problem. Normal what people do is test the float switches first with a simple continuity tester. Unhook the harness from the ouil tank float and on the float side of the harness. Test the continuity.

unplug the engine oil tank.
turn the key on.
jumper the black to brown on the harness side connector.
pump should run.
now jump black to white, pump should quit. now jump black to red, pump should run, audible should comer on.
what indicates are lit on your tach at key on power.

There isnt really a way to test the control module so if the float is working then order the control module. Here is a good write up on Yamaha precision blend, There really isnt that much to it.
