Hello all, just bought my first boat and took it out this past weekend. The engine starts fine and seems to run fairly well but after running about 3200 rpm and slowing back to near idle, when you hit the gas the engine seems to cut out and bog a little. After about 3 or 400 yards it clears up and does good but if you increase the throttle it starts cutting out again for about the same 3 or 400 yards and lines out again. Sounds like a fuel problem to me but being that I am a rookie at this, would like to get some info from some more experienced folks. Can someone help me out with some advice. Thanks a bunch.

Sounds like you are on the right track.
pick up a Yamaha service manual for your motor if you plan on working on it yourself, It will pay for itself many time over
