My boat has been sitting up since last summer. when trying to start it cranks but will not start. After reading many other threads have pulled and freed up the fuel pump it is working fine when hooked directly to battery, when i hook it back to the wiring harness nothing. If i unplug the ground and run a jumper to the battery fuel pump comes on and motor will crank and run. I have also checked the resistor for continuity it is fine. I went out today and bought a service manual. After trouble shooting all the suggestions for fuel pump and relay everything checks out fine. I checked the Rectifier and it seems to be bad failed open, could this cause my ground issues to fuel pump?
