Okay so me and a friend rigged a new F70LA, tiller handle with the RPM trollling control, and everything seemed to be okay. However, we got a constant beeping after a few seconds of turning it over the first time. We shut the motor off and turned the key back to the "on" position and, after a few seconds, got the beeping again; without the motor running. Checked all the connections and everything is tight. So we tilted the motor all the way up and on a whim I put the key back to the on position and lo and behold no beeping. Tilted the motor all the way down and turned the key to on position and again no beeping. Turned the motor over and let it run for a few seconds and still no beeping. When we turned the throttle a little bit the beeping came back and we're back to where we started with the beeping coming on after a few seconds of putting the key in the "on" position. It would be nice to have a Command-Link gauge to tell us the problem, be we don't have that luxury. Does anybody have a clue what the problem could be?

Sounds like you have an overheat or low oil pressure (sender) problem, check oil level?
