How to unblock cooling system on yamaha 50 ??

Hello I took my Yamaha 50 outboard in the sea today it got banked on the mud flats the motor is not circulating water there fore i think it has a blocked cooling system what is the best way to clean it out is if you could get back to me that would be great thanks

If it is just the tell tail that is plugged you can try lowing it out with compressed air or running a heavy piece of mono fishing line into it to see if that will help unplug it.

You may have to replace the water pump it now water or not enough water is flowing through the motor. pull the thermostat while the lower unit is off and flush motor out with a water hose
