I am currently looking to re-power my 21' T.V Explorer with a 2001 150hp Yamaha Vmax. It currently has about 450 hrs on it (coming from a fishing guide). Though, what concerns me is I know little about the engine. Is it a good buy? What kind of history do these engines have? I do run is real shallow water, so will this engine affect the performance of the boat?
