Hey all,

I have a 1986 Suzuki DT115... The boat it is on, has never had a tach... I bought a teleflex Amega tach (0-7k), the same as I have on my other boat, to install...

I wired it up, powered it up (it zeros like it should), but I get no reading on the tach.

I have verified I am on 6p (which is what the instructions say should be for my motor).

I have also verified I am hooked up to the correct lead from my controls (yellow). This lead comes from a block in the motor which is connected to a TCU (Tachometer Control Unit)... So it seems a bit different than the standard recitifier setup.

What I need to know is, how do I test a tach circuit???

I did a forums search and came up empty on testing procedures... the seloc manual I have is a worthless pile of poo... and doesnt have any information either...

Can anyone help me with this?
