Unmounting 15 HP Yamaha Outboard, need some tips.

I am going to sell my 15 HP electric start outboard. I am going to take it off the transom tonight. The outboard is wired into a control panel on the back of the 14' Crestliner. How many wires am I dealing with? Do I just disconnect the engine wires from the control panel, fuse box, what ever you call it?
