hi i have a 96 model suzuki dt200 which seems to keep going into safe mode. when it starts it runs on all 6 cylinders for a few seconds and then the portside 3cylinders stop firing.there is no spark there at all when this happens.i have taken the boat to a marine mechanic who tested the entire setup from the ignition switch through the entire engine and did not find any problems.but could not fix my problem. i had an auto electrician go over it and could not fix it.all the sensors , cdi,ecu etc all tested fine.i have since replaced the water flow/temp sensors and replaced spark plugs.aparently these engines have a neutral switch somewhere nobody seems to know where but and i cant find one.i have gone over the engine atleast 6 times looking for a loose wire or bad earth and cant find any.hope someone can shine some light on this.also it isnt charging battery and the green light on the dash is on if that means anything to me green means go so i didnt think it meant anything.

iwould check stator there is a resistance test you can do.and it will be hard to pin point the problem if it dont act up on hose.you might have to go run the boat and do the dva reading test

Sounds to me like you need a service manual for that motor to be able to trouble shoot. I know a guy that has one and he no longer has the 2 DT175 motors he bought it for. If you would like I can get you in touch with him. Send me a PM
or you can order one from http://store.brownspoint.com/search...&subcat=140&txtsearchParamCat=23&txtCatName=3

They also sell some aftermarket ones here http://www.iboats.com/Suzuki-Outboa...2760260--**********.844003992--view_id.251027
