Suzuki Control Key Switch

I have a 1985 DT115 that I recently acquired. The motor is fine but I have a problem on the control box. The ignition switch does not seem to have a key. Instead, there is something covering the key hole (or where I assume the key hole is) and it does not turn in either direction or come out. I am wondering if someone broke off a key in the switch because it was rusted or corroded and they tried to force it. Can anyone out there help me out?

Re: Suzuki Control Key Switch

My 85 dt55 switch was the same, no key. I changed out the switch
becaues the choke didn't work with one with a key. Got the switch
from NAPA for $20.00, but you have to do a little wiring. If I had to
do it again I would get a Suzuki switch, but at the time money was
thight.

It doesn't use a key, it uses a thing that looks almost exactly like the safety cutoff key except it has two pins sticking out of the middle of it. If you look at your ignition switch you'll see the two holes that the "key" pins go into.
