Using Carb Cleaner to Clean VST Filter

Greetings. Sodium Sulfate has clogged the VST filter on my 200HP Yamaha HPDI two times in the past three months. To quickly clean the VST in the future, someone had the idea to drain the VST tank, bend the end of a carb cleaner straw 90 degrees, insert the straw into the VST drain, and shoot a small amount of carb cleaner at the VST filter. Will carb cleaner in the VST tank damage anything? Thanks.

nope.
if you do it once a month it extends the filter life.
however it wont help the medium pressure inline filter.
