Suzuki control panel

There is a knob i can turn on the front of the control panel. Browns point calls it a "brake adjustment knob" what does it do. Also has anyone tried to replace the ignition assy. The choke on my boat does not work, and my mechanic says i need to replace it.

Question 1: the knob sets the tention on the controls
Question 2: yes, if you buy a Suzuki ign. switch it's color
coded and the ends have slide connectors.
you can go the cheap route and go to NAPA
auto parts and get a switch but then you'll
have to figure out the wiring. very easy to do,
getting the wires to lay down so you can close
the control box is the hardest part.
