Today i attach a second handed 2005 Yamaha high trust to my boat. The boat where it came from had right side steering. My boat has left side steering. So i made the steering wheel on the left side.
The steering system is the: Yamaha YMM-22214-00
I pulled in the end of the steering cable in the lower part of the motor (the part that doesn't move). Now the steering guide arm doesn't fit anymore. This one:
I can't find a steering guide arm for left steering in the Yamaha parts list.
What's the solution to fix this problem?
An other thing i could do is buying a longer steering cable and making a loop to the left. But that's not the most neat solution.
