This engine dies at idle after you have run wide open for a moderate period of time. But it only does it every once and a while. You can run it wide open draw back to idle over and over again. But about 1 out of 10 times it will die. and then won't crank back up with out using the warm up lever. I have changed the boat fuel water sep, the low pressure fuel filter, and the high pressure fuel filter. No codes come up.

It could be a number of things, BUT it sounds like your IAC (Idle Air Control ) valve may be starting to fail, OR just be out of adjustment. My DF 40 had these symptoms for about a season. Recently I got an error code 31 (IAC Valve. By Pass air screw adjustment). I cleaned the valve with Gumout and readjusted the valve per the Suzuki manual. Problem solved.

The ECM controls this valve and it can be checked electroniclly by a dealer as well.

Again, this may not be your problem, but it sounds like it is a likely candidate based on my humble experience.

Good luck.
