Suzuki '82 DT2 - Water pump verification?

I'm familiar with the concept on my Evinrude outboard to have the water stream to show that the water pump is working.

I just got a 1982 DT2 to run (bad condenser), but this is the first time I've seen the engine run. I don't see any water streams above the water line, so either the DT2 does not have them, or the pump is bad.

Should I see a stream somewhere?

Thanks

PS. Attached is a picture of the only thing remotely resembling a water output, but the fact that there are two seems weird to me. Also it seems like a bit of oily exhaust (though I see no smoke), not water, is coming out.

You won't see a stream only a fine mist out the 2 holes ....

Thank you deejaycee_2000.

I'm not even seeing a fine mist, unless a bit of exhaust counts. I guess it's going to be in my best interest to at least inspect the impeller.

Sweet looking motor,

OK, I am going to risk a question, where is the water pump located on this motor ?

Dang, I should have taken a picture of that...

It's essentially in front of the prop. With the prop off there is a plate held in place by two nuts. Nuts come off and the impeller is behind the plate. It's driven by the prop shaft. Since this motor has no neutral, the prop and pump are spinning whenever the motor is running.

BTW, I put this motor on a 10' Lowe Littlejon and I can get about 5 MPH, depending on wind.

It runs good too... Like a weed whacker on water. :)

I should point out that the output from the pump is actually two holes, one on each side, under the anti-ventilation plate. It's impossible to see water coming out because it's submerged, but when I pulled the old impeller I used a small piece of tubing to flush the system and I saw where the water comes out.
