Suzuki 84 DT 30 ignition question

I am going to use a Suzuki 84 dt30 motor on my pontoon. It has a remote for the throttle, but not for the ignition. You have to use the push button on the motor. The is a spot for a key ignition on the remote. Is there a way I can add the key ignition and wiring to my remote. The motor is an 84, but the remote I think is an 80-82.

Yes you can, you just have to extend the wiring form the original button on the motor and wire it to the ignition ....
