lets get on the same page, there are NO sensors for any oil related function on that yamaha. only on/off switches.
now.
could be the engine oil tank screen is incorrectly installed,could be a corrosion in a wire issue or it could be a bad ECU.
use the dealer locator function at yamaha motor.com, find a dealer in your area that employs a master tech.
its an incredibly simple system that kicks most techs arse.
its the most failed part of the master exam.
for whatever reason either the ECU is not getting the sw1 closed ground signal or the ECU cannot react to it.
or the blue wire from the remote tank to the ecu and emergency switch is grounded.
