I have a 94' pro 50 yamaha that has a little problem i need help with, I figured i would try here before i take it to the shop and pay them big bucks. When i first crank the motor up it wants to run smooth but it acts like it trys to die out and sometimes it does cut off and when it does it makes a loud quick high pitched noise?!?! Also when i give it a little throttle it doesn't want to go but if you give it alot it just all of a sudden opens up and wants to go. It'll run up the river wide open perfect! Idling it wants to idle smooth and rpms get slow and then it'll jump right back up where it should be(it cuts off some)....... anyone have a clue???

The noise is most likely a lean sneeze, and it sounds like you have one or more carbs with a dirty idle/low speed circuit. I would clean the carbs first.
