I am looking at a 1990 115hp Suzuki choke problem. When I supply power and ground to the choke wires at the back of the ignition switch the choke works good. If I plug the wires back into the ignition and push the ignition switch in to activate the choke, the choke try's to work witch is telling me the ignition switch is faulty ( making poor contact in the switch it self). Is there a fix for this with out replacing the ignition switch. It appears to be a sealed unit.

Thanks in adavance

Re: Suzuki ignition help

do a voltage drop test, also a poor connection inside switch can usually be wiggled to momenartily improve.if the switch is bad voltage will be lower on load side of switch, while the feed will stay close to 12.6 volts

Re: Suzuki ignition help

When I wiggle the switch the solenoid some times engages. It looks like I need a new ignition switch. Thanks again
