On our second trip running the motor duck hunting, the motor quit spitting out water. I've heard of this happening in flooded timber because leaves, dirt, etc. will clog the water pump indicator. My questions:

1. How do I un-clog the water pump indicator?
2. If the indicator quits working, but the motor is not overheating, is it harmful to keep running the motor? In otherwords, could the pump still be working and cooling the motor even if the indicator is not working?

The water pump indicator tube may just be plugged up and you could stick a wire in there to try to open it up. It could also mean your water/cooling system is plugged/not working, so you really need to see that water flowing. If your water inlets down on the foot are plugged up and you keep running you can fry your water pump in a big hurry and then your motor, so you need to deal with this. Good Luck!
