I have had fuel problems (E-10). I put in some new fuel and conditioner, changed filter canister, new NGK plugs, rebuilt fuel lifter pumps, replaced electiric fuel pump and seem to be getting gas to the motor now. The engine, however, still is not running correctly. It will idle on the hose but runs rough and when I run up the RPM some it is missing. Some of the plugs seem to be wet fouling. Do I need to be cleaning and rebuilding the carbs? I have the tools and repair manual for the motor and it does not look overly difficult. Is this something a weekend mechanic should try? Any suggections greatly appreciated.
Is it even the carbs?
