My motor is really giving me a fit. It fires right up on the first pull. After taking the choke off, I can't get the motor to get over anything more than idle. If I try to give it some gas the motor dies out. I can't even get the throttle past the start indicator on the tiller handle without the unit dying off. Thanks for your help!

Re: suzuki DF4 dies

Just a guess but it sounds like blocked jets or the carb needs cleaning. I had the same problem with a 2007 DF15. After two trips to the dealer and even contacting Suzuki (they refused to help) the carb needed to be disassembled cleaned and put back together. So far it is working ok. What I have been told is that the small engines do not like the ethanol in the fuel. It is ok in my main motor as it is fuel injected though. I have bitten the bullet and only buy non-ethanol fuel.
