Hi everyone,
I was out on the lake playing and stopped to put oil in and when I went to go i had no forward gear. The motor would not engage. When I went to investigate I took the control box apart and found an adjustment knob on the front of the box that I didn't even realize was there. it was loose and when I turned it clockwise to tighten it up the problen seemed to go away. Can any one tell me exactly what this knob does? I'm guessing it is an adjustment for the gear cable and simply vibrated loose. Thanks for your responses.

waffles1, that is a throttle tensioner but I wouldn't think it would have anything to do with the gear tension. Maybe someone with more knowledge could help you with the answer in here.
