Yamaha Enduro 25hp - old as dirt

Hi all,

I have had the above described motor for 21 years now and it was pretty beat up when I got it. It came to me as a kicker on a used Glastron 19 ft I bought in Venezuela. The reason I still have it is that I had it in the shop being painted when I moved and sold the boat. It is, in a sense, brand new as I don't think it has ever been used. I started it up a couple of years ago and it ran fine in a tub of water.

I now have it in Spain and as it is difficult to sell (two cycle engines are not popular) I am thinking of putting it on a small boat for the river.

Can anyone tell me where to look for the serial # to try and date it?

Thanks

serial number is generally on transom clamp on the port side.

that is a non US market motor and any info from the US may be suspect.
normally the seriel plate is on the port transom clamp and most international motors will need a full seriel number.
I dont think I have ever seen a 25 Enduro here in the states but there are plenty in the rio chico VE area and the lake Guri VE area.
you may try VeneMarine in Caracas VE for assistance.
