I am running 2 x 2009 T9.9's on a sailing catamaran. The engines are connected to the steering so they move with the rudders about 45 degrees. The normal bracket arrangements that connects the shifter cable to the extrenally mounted lever wouldn't work well because of the engines moving/hitting the mounting brackets, so I modified the bracket and have the cable going into the center of the engine and attaching to the shifter arm where normally a tiller operated shifter would attach. It works, but it is very difficult to shift because you are now loosing the mechamnnical advantage of the lever arm. Does anyone know of a bracket that will have the cables run more to the center of the engine so I can reattach to the proper location?? IS there a better way to get the cables to run into the center of the engine and avoid the external arm? Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks.
