yamaha 40 hp . what mixture

i have a 2 stroke old engine , which i have been running on 50 / 1 mixture,
but today i saw a sticker inside saying 100/1 mixture.
any advise please?

I think 100:1 is for the engines initial break in period, but I could be wrong....

50:1 is what you need to run, at 100:1 I would think could burn it up.How old is old though.

always run it 50:1 ....

thanks everyone for your replies,
as i have been using 50/1 for the last 6 months without any problems(allbeit a wee bit smokey, but old engine) i think i will stick to that.
