I have recently acquired this engine on a litlle v hull fiberglass boat. I took it out today to see how it performed and it was horrible. The engine will crank on the first pull and idle fine. When I took it out it would not hardly go anywhere. I played with the choke and she kind of took off. It would only go so much full throttle but had to pull out the chole in order to actually make a wake. I am used to V6 engines, I need some help with this...
