1992 yamaha 200 outboard idle and wot problem

92 yamaha 200 outboard,not a perfect motor ,but always get me back home,two problem,wont idle good,it will sneeze and cut off,if i bump the choke it will stay idle sometime,sometime even i bump the choke still cut off,adjust idle screw buttom out,still wont idle(wounder timming is off?)carb been clean few weeks back,what would u look first,and after 1000rpm it run fine till 4800rpm it will barge down,if i back off gas it will run finr again(maybe water in gas?)any help from here,thanks.

it dont look like anybody know what is going on with my motor,but guess what,i got it fixed,just adjust a timming screw a little ,it idle like champ,and put in gear in low rpm it wont die on me,,feel much better when i try to docking,but still have problem when i reach 4800 rpm,it will start stall,will try to change water and gas saperator,see what happen then?any input?

clean your carbs again this time clean all fuel lines under the hood with a string, a pice of rag and carb cleaner. replace both lift pumps.
cough at idle indicates lean condition, RPM loss at high speed indicates lean condition.
both will blow a piston.
recheck compression BEFORE starting any more repairs..
recheck compression now then do the above.

thanks,rebot,i clean the carb real good last time,that will be last thing i will look,but will try clean all fuel line,maybe even replace them under the hood,but will check compression first,belive all piston are running,otherwise it wont reach 4800 rpm,right?(maybe just low compression on some)thanks,will let u know what happen.
