25 hp 1986 suzuki is it a good motor

Hello to everybody just bought a 25 hp 1986 long shaft tiller suzuki,Is there anything about this motor that i should know or be careful with thank you.serial # is 614264.Is it a 1986?thank you.

Yes it is a great little motor, if you look after it, it will look after you .....

Thank you deejaycee.I notice there is spare wires inside could it be that these wires are the ones that i could charge my batterie ?? thank you

I have a 30 hp about the same year and its a great motor.

From what i've read on here if your motor has electric start then it most likely has a charging system if not then no.

All the motors have the same wiring harness, so if there are extra ones it is most likely for charging a battery, or for the starter (if you have pull start) etc ....
