I am looking to purchase a 99 Yamaha 200 with blown powerhead, just curious on rebuild pricing, and any step by step for DIY mechanic's? Also any tips help etc
Thanks

post the complete model number is the first step so we know what fuel and ign system we are dealing with.

Hi, I am unsure of the model number but will try to get it, I do know its a salt water series 200hp 25" shaft.

Ok, I have the info, OX66 model, 200HP, 25" shaft, water in fuel , threw rod through block, motor looks like new outside, has all parts. Will any ox66 block work???

no
there again we must have the complete model number.
if only the crankcase cover was damaged it may be possible to weld it but the crank will have to be rebuilt and that rod replaced at a minimum.
possibly that cylinder sleeve as well.
may be cheaper and faster to order a reman.
iboats sells them./
