I have a 2002 Yamaha 200 hp fuel injected motor. It runs and idles perfect until I get up to 3200 RPMs and it bogs. Over the winter layup, I had a FloScan system installed. I am thinking either the VST filter or high pressure pumps, or possibly the FloScan. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot what the cause can be?

is it EFI or HPDI a little bit diff. YOUR ON THE RIGHT TRACK, CHECK THE LIFT PUMPS AND ALL FILTERS, THERE IS A FILTER ON THE VST PUMP TOO.

Re: Yamaha bogging at 3200 RPMs

you could T in a vacuum gauge between the low pressure fuel pump and the engine mounted filter to see if there is a restriction in the line. vacuum should be between 1"hg and 4"hg.

Along with servicing your VST filter, there is a screen on the pressure regulator that can get clogged up.. you can clean that as well.
I change my low pressure fuel pumps every three years as a prevent maint items as the diaphragms can rip pretty easily.
