suzuki 4 stroke df 250 spark plugs

hello,
1st time on the forum. I was changing plugs on this engine and noticed something that may or may not be a problem. The rubber boot that goes over the plug end does not snap like automotive plugs or at least I can't hear it if it does. I push the retainer against the plug chamber and reset the screw. It's just a little strange not to hear or feel that snap when the boot is attached. Would appreciate any help..

My 6 hp 4 stroke plug wire snaps in.
I don't know if it is an issue or not. Looks like you can take the plug wire apart at the plastic elbow and crimp the metal band a little tighter.

thanks for the reply. This is all internal. There's a 5 inch long boot that goes into the plug chamber. Inside that boot is the clip. It's about a good 3 inches inside the rubber boot.
