My 70 hp 2003 Suzuki 4-stroke tiller recently started stumbling and then stops after about a half hour of idling (slow trolling). After it dies, it will start right up again and go for about another half hour. There are no beeps signaling any problems when this happens. I have replaced the spark plugs and installed a new fuel bulb; the fuel bulb remains hard when this happens so I assume there is gas in the line leading to the motor.

I have not done any special maintenance on it since it was new, except for frequent oil/filter changes and lower unit oil changes. I put about 100 hours/year on the motor and except for this recent problem the motor has run great. It runs just fine when at top speed.

Any suggestions on things to check/do to solve this problem?

Thanks for your input,
Dave Gulczinski
