Hello,
Prepatory to storing my 150 HP Yamaha four stoke outboard motor for the freezing winter season, must I drain the water from the engine block, etc.
It's been suggested to me that the motor is self draining, and that there aren't any drains to be opened to release water.
Can anyone confirm that this is correct?
Thank you in advance.

It doesn't hold water, but don't leave engine up outside, as water will collect in foot(thru prop's center) and then freeze, expand...well you know. Don't leave it sitting all winter, with or without gas in VST tank or you'll be sorry...run it after two months or so on hose or at VERY LEAST open drain at bottom of VST, pump gas thru, and cycle key to run elect. fuel pump inside VST....two months or less....
