I changed out a 1982 mercury 150hp 2 stroke to a 1991 175hp yamaha 2 stroke. Can I use a conversion kit and keep my ignition wire harness? Can I also put new throttle cables on, but use a conversion to keep my binnacle top mount? Thanks.
i would have to say no, w/out doing a whole lot of unessary cutting and crimping, plus merc controls are unique at least at the motor end,contact me i have a bunch of old yamaha stuff, maybe i can help you out
