Recently hauled out for the season. Retracted the trim pistons all the way in after placing a 2x4 so the skeg doesn't hit the ground. So, the motor is not quite in the full down position. Next day noticed one of the trim pistons had extended by itself. Retracted again, after 1 day it again extended. I also noticed a leak at the piston/seal interface.

Obviously I need to have the seal replaced again. Is this a high frequency failure item? I've had to replace those seals twice.

Also why would there be enough pressure remaining in the cylinder to re-extend one piston by itself? Is this normal or indicative of some other hydraulic problem? Thanks.
