115 HP Suzuki DT

My 1991 Suzuki runs good high but will not idle. The motor shuts off after a few seconds. I have recently has the throttle cables replaced and I rebuild the lower unit. It will not run below 1100 RPM's without shutting off.
What do you reccomend to clean oily residue and dirt off engine? Thanks for your help.

When did you last clean the carbs and rebuild the fuel pump. The parts are not expensive but you need to have a manual and some semblance of Mech' aptitude.
Sorry to say you have to have a good professional if you want to have it done. Difficult to find them I'm afraid.

Have you checked the throttle valve sensor? It is located on one of the carbs, and is attached to the oil pump arm.

Thanks for your time and input... I will work on it this weekend. THe carbs have not been cleaned for 7 years. I do have the manual and hopefully will be able to figure it out. I will let you know how it goes...
