Suzuki DF175 exhaust problem

On my left engine, at idle, all exhaust exits through the hub rather than through the above-water exhaust port ... The right engine is fine ...

This follows 3 months of saltwater operation followed by 2 months layup ... I was careful to flush every day .. So corrosion may not be indicated ....

However, clearly the exhaust path is compromised.

Any ideas how to clear it without a teardown?

Kind of ... I tilted the motor to the full up position and poured about 1/4 cup of used motor oil into the exhaust port ... After sitting overnight the problem was solved ...
