03' DT 150 Suzuki Trim And TILT problems

My trim and tilt is acting up. My motor is tilting up fine but will not trim down. The pump runs and I can hear the relay click but it will not go down. I had to manually lower it and then it rasises fine with the motor.

Can anyone give me a idea where to start. Electrical or mechanical?

check fluid first
swap relays around and go from there

Well I found I had a lose connection and got everything running. But motor still wont go up. Its going up slow and then creeps up to a certain height and stops. I had it all the way up twicw and bled it but didnt seem to help. The motor is 6 months old. It was a left over. Could I have seal problem?
I am leery about adding flluid because I know you can crack your pump house if you over fill.

What is the fluid capacity of DT 150 trim tilt?

just fill until level with the cap

Well add more fluid and the trim was working great by the end of the day the trim quit working and now the trim motor is laboring?

Any clues where to go next?

check fluid again, if it went down you have a leak somewhere

Well Found my Oil seal on the trim motor was shot, I ordered a new one and just got it. Can you tell me if that seal is just pressed in or do you use some permatex?

Well seal pops right out. I replaced it with no problem reassemble and works like a charm. Suck hoe the make where you have to take half the transom apart to get to your motor. but no frozen bolts so it was a breeze.

Happy boater again for $17.00 instead of $400.00 to replace with a piece of junk aftermarket from the dealer.
