I have a japanese imported Yamaha 6 hp with a 35mm water pump housing bore, 12mm shaft size and a 18mm deck height. The Yamaha outboard dealer in Austin only shows a 13mm height for that year. The ID plate shows 84 07 I think that would mean July 1984. The other numbers are 6h6l 203020. South Austin Marine doesen't know what to do. I wanted to know if a dealeror a parts shop had a metric caliper to see if any other impellers are that size. I wanted to know if anyone can help me find a part # for this impeller.

Thanks's for reading this post.

What is the complete model number on your plate?

It is fixed and pumping a steady flow of water now.

I went back to South Austin Marine with the Impeller and the housing and Mike in the parts department pulled a rabit out of a hat. He found the impeller that would fit.

Thanks for the help.

The reason I asked for the model number is that in the future you may need some other parts. With the correct model you can look-up and order the parts that are needed.
